Girls Rock! Phoenix

Girls Rock! Phoenix empowers girls and gender-expansive youth ages 10–17 to collaborate, create, and perform music during a week-long summer camp.

GR!PHX is a nonprofit organization made up of local musicians, music enthusiasts, and community organizers dedicated to helping Valley kids rock out each summer.

Pappas Kids Schoolhouse Foundation

The mission of the Pappas Kids Schoolhouse Foundation is a deeply committed effort to help low-income, homeless, and at-risk youth in Arizona schools succeed and grow in a positive educational environment. We partner with schools that serve disadvantaged youth and assist with their student’s academic, social, and family needs. By giving these students the opportunities they deserve and “eliminating the barriers” that childhood homelessness and poverty may create, we hope to change the course of their lives so they may become fully literate, productive members of our society.

Endometriosis Foundation of America

The Endometriosis Foundation of America (EndoFound) strives to increase disease recognition, provide advocacy, facilitate expert surgical training, and fund landmark endometriosis research. Engaged in a robust campaign to inform both the medical community and the public, the EndoFound places particular emphasis on the critical importance of early diagnosis and effective intervention while simultaneously providing education to the next generation of medical professionals and their patients.

The Arizona Animal Welfare League

AAWL rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes more than 4,000 dogs and cats that are abandoned or that have been surrendered by their owners. We do this primarily by rescuing them from other shelters in Maricopa County where they are likely to be euthanized due to the lack of time and resources to care for them. At any one time, our shelter will hold 140 cats and 190 dogs. We also have a foster parent network of approximately 90 families who provide care and shelter in their homes for puppies and kittens that are too young to be adopted, and those animals that are recovering from medical procedures or that need socialization before adoption.

As a Community Development Financial Institution, our work focuses on creating economic opportunity for low to moderate-income individuals and communities.
